MEDEVAC AMBULANCE, a division of Pennsylvania Medical Transport, Inc., was incorporated in 1990. The company was founded out of community need and a strong commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. We adhere to the belief that “Customer Satisfaction is the Cornerstone of Success”. MEDEVAC AMBULANCE provides emergency and non-emergency services to residents and facilities throughout Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence Counties.
MEDEVAC AMBULANCE operates a fleet of vehicles including 12 State-of-the-Art ambulances and 6 wheel chair vans. These units are based in Ellwood City, New Castle, and the City of Pittsburgh. Our crews are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and within minutes of receiving a call for assistance, a highly trained crew of at least one Paramedic and one Emergency Medical Technician is in route to the scene.
WHAT WE DO
MEDEVAC AMBULANCE’S highly trained staff of medical professionals are capable of providing a wide range of patient care services including: emergency trauma care, advanced cardiac and medical care, spinal and head injury trauma care, and treatment for burns and poisoning.
MEDEVAC AMBULANCE also provides non-emergency transportation for patients requiring inter-facility transfers, including wheelchair van transportation for those patients who are very independent, but may require some assistance to and from the doctor’s office or other medical appointments. In addition to working with local residents, MEDEVAC AMBULANCE also works with local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and local businesses.
Our corporate office and station in Ellwood City also includes a modern dispatch center which is staffed by Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certified communications specialists 24/7. In addition, we work closely with Beaver County and Lawrence County 911 Communications Centers.
